Il contesto è costituito da grandi lotti con bassa densità di popolazione, caratterizzato da una ricca e fitta vegetazione che isola visivamente i singoli lotti, il contesto quindi appare più rurale che urbano.

Due setti murari che definiscono i limiti della residenza attraversano in senso trasversale tutta la larghezza del lotto.
La disposizione della casa segue in senso planimetrico il profilo di una cavità naturale che caratterizza l'interno con differenti livelli di pavimento.

L'ingresso principale della residenza è collocato nella corte d'entrata e si trova al termine di un stretto vicolo delimitato da mura rivestite in pietra leggermente in discesa che forma una leggera curva. Al termine del percorso il vicolo si allarga trasformandosi in una corte la cui unica vista è quella del cielo riflettersi nello specchio d'acqua che anticipa l'ingresso.

L'ingresso è situato ad un livello medio, da cui incominciano i percorsi planimetrici interni alla abitazione evidenziando la toponomastica del luogo.

La zona giorno è sviluppata ad un livello inferiore rispetto la zona d'ingresso conquistando il posto principale e più suggestivo della casa.

La biblioteca è collocata ad un livello superiore rispetto la zona d'ingresso, gode della vista sulla tranquilla corte interna e contemporaneamente riveste un ruolo predominante sulla zona giorno tramite un affaccio diretto. La continuità dei due volumi è dato dall'andamento lineare del soffitto in comune che in base al profilo assume diverse altezza da terra.

Le camere da letto sono disposte in serie nel prolungamento di questi spazi. Tutte le stanze si affacciano su una corte interna trattata a verde.

This project involved settling a new land, a very recent development featuring large lots and extremely low population density. Owing to this trails, in addition to abundant vegetation resistant to human interference, the appearance of the surroundings is more rural than properly urban.

The design, of rigourously economical formality is based on two parallel walls that cross the entire width of the site. The layout of the house follows the contour of an existing hollow, providing different floor levels inside the building and enhancing its topological value.

The entrance is suggested by a slight curve in the winding road. After climbing to that point, the ground descends slightly, leading us to the first court where access to the interior begins. A narrow alley between the massive stone walls runs down to the entry court. At the end the alley widens into a place of quiet and repose, where the sole view is that of the sky reflected in the fountain pool laid out at the ground level.

This hall is located at an intermediate level, where the circuit of the house begins, with steps here and there, going up or down, echoing the abrupt topography of the site.

The living room is built at the lowest level of the site, thus acquiring more significant spatial status. The library overlooks this room like a balcony, with a common, continuous ceiling.

The height of the private rooms is graduated following the rising contour of the ground. The bedrooms look out on the enclosed garden, which is warmed by the sun from the north.
