The new house by the sea in Cap D'Ail is located along the south coast of France, between Nice an Montecarlo, on a steep slope overlooking the Baie de Saint Lauren. The project is compared with the physical limits of the place, the area is bounded on the north by Route National and on the south, towards the sea, by a high stone wall characterized by two large arched openings.

The proposal is based on the desire to maximize the opening of the house to the landscape, resulting on one hand in the total use in the front of two large arches, on the other adopting a green continuous coverage with four skylights oriented that illuminate orthogonally the hypogean spaces below and define a new profile on the ground. Is made a simple contrast between artifice and nature while maintaining a clear geometricity. The house, with a structure of a plate of reinforced concrete, is on three levels which accommodate respectively the sun terrace, the living area, naturally more open and dynamic and the sleeping area below, more intimate and introverted. From the garden terrace a flight of steps outlines the route of access to housing, accompanying the slope of the land. At first level there are some service areas, over which are developing large zenithal openings, a large living room, with two balconies,that directly faces the bay. Through a unique ramp staircase is reached the second basement level in which there are the two bedroom, also overlooking the sea, with their bathrooms, and some service areas. The intervention reduce the perception of the house to a minimum and wants to emphasize only the main elements which are the generators of the project, the large openings.
