L’intervento riguarda la trasformazione di una villa costruita negli anni ‘70, situata all’interno di un complesso produttivo nella Val Seriana.
Attraverso la demolizione di molti dei muri originari in cemento armato facciavista, il progetto tenta di individuare, oltre ad un accesso più agevole, una nuova relazione fra le parti abitative e quelle concluse del giardino.
Grandi elementi prismatici si fanno spazio nel corpo dell’edificio, creando lo spunto per generare una nuovi volumi all’interno e all’esterno della casa; la loro articolazione genera, in successione, i diversi ambienti, dove l’ingresso, delimitato da uno spazio a doppio volume aperto verso il cielo,diventa il vero protagonista della casa.

La piscina costituisce un’ampliamento visivo del soggiorno, uno specchio d’acqua attraverso il quale si raggiunge il giardino, per mezzo di sette stretti “tagli” praticati sulla parete esterna.

The project concerns the transformation of a villa built in the Seventies, located in an industrial compound in the Seriana Valley.
Through the demolition of many of the original walls in reinforced concrete let in view, the project aims to identify, in addition to a more practical entrance, a new relationship between the areas of the home and the garden. Large prismatic elements conquer the space of the body of the building, inspiring the creation of new volumes inside and outside the house; their distribution generates, in succession, the different environments. The entrance, defined by a double-height space that opens to the sky, becomes the true protagonist of the house.
The swimming pool represents a visual continuation of the living room, a reflecting water surface that leads to the garden, through seven narrow “cuts” made on the external wall.
